Bruce Slaugenhaupt is 46 years old and holds a B.A. in photography from Ohio State University. Bruce writes that his father, a journalism instructor, introduced him to photography when he was 14, by bringing home an old Yashicamat.
Bruce went on to work for the local newspaper and a large studio while in high school. After graduating from college, he worked for Gulfshore Life and Florida Living magazines and in between stints in real estate, freelanced for about a dozen magazines including Mother Earth News, Adventure Travel, Florida Wildlife and a number of newspapers.
"My love is nature photography. For the past seven years I've been living in a beautiful log home I built overlooking a mountain lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. I just started a new electronic magazine on the web, North Georgia Mountains E-Zine<, in which I showcase my photography and provide travelers information for the region. It's a lot of fun. Not making much money, but I hope to sell more prints and get more sponsors. People are just starting to "discover" this area passed by for the more popular Smoky Mountains, but it's one of the most uniquely beautiful areas in the country - go to my mag and see for yourself."
